How rich is your boss? Never mind the Royce's the 126 and the Bentley, but that 300 is probably the single most expensive car to keep running next to a Grosser.

He has a heavy duty two-post lift in his garage (required for the Silver Shadow, which weighs about 10-million lbs) and does as much of his own work as he can. Full set of air tools, two large Snap-on chests worth of hand tools. He's a shitty welder though and lets other people do that. But the man is both very wealthy and has grease on his hands most days.
He did a valve job, crank bearings, and cooling system rebuild on the old Shadow this summer...

Now that's a Boss. But he is aware that an M189 can get seriously expensive when something breaks? A full revision can cost more than a 5 year old S550. Just asking.

Oh yeah, he's already fabricated and entire replacement set of injector hard lines, rebuilt the intake plenum and butterfly, and had the injector pump rebuilt by the Mercedes Classic Centre. I think he did an oil pump too...?
(he sold his 2007 S550 4matic when he got the Bently Turbo R BTW...)
